BMPCA Director retires
Richard Welburn retires from the position of Director of BMPCA at the end of December. He bacame Director in March 2002 and has overseen changes in the organisation, management and financial resources of the Association. In addition to being Director of BMPCA, he has served as Technical Manager for UK Steel, the trade association for the Steel industry in the UK. Prior to joining UK Steel and BMPCA, he held a number of senior management positions in British Steel and Corus Engineering Steels. He also has a detailed knowledge of the metallurgical plant construction business, gained during a 5 year spell with Davy International and as head of a JV between Davy and VAI, based in Austria.
