April Business Meeting and Plant Vsit at Sheffield Forfemasters
The April business meeting was hosted by Sheffield Forgemasters.
A plant tour preceded the meeting. The members were treated to an excellent close up view of the foundry, the forge and the machine shops. The sight of a 200t ingot being forged is really something to behold. The members gave a vote of thanks to Geoff Marston who organized the day’s event and was one our tour guides. This was Geoff’s last meeting as he retires from Forgemasters in the summer. The chairman thanked Geoff for the support he has given the BMPCA over many years and the effort he put in during his two years as chairman.
